Increased freight at Transport America means opportunities open now
Eagan, Minn.. (June 2, 2009) – Freight levels at Transport America have increased significantly in a short period of time creating immediate driving opportunities with quality miles and great pay.
“With recent bid success, our freight volumes have increased by 15 percent,” says Scott Arves, President and CEO of Transport America. “This increase is from existing customers who have been very pleased with our service. We were competitive in the second quarter bid process, which lead to this additional freight. According to Arves, the hiring areas for these expanded opportunities are primarily in the Midwest: Iowa, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee and Georgia. “Drivers can expect to see consistent, quality miles with meaningful home time, which not a lot of other carriers can truthfully say these days. In addition, Transport America offers a very competitive pay package, with top drivers able to earn 45 cents per mile in base rate and bonus. Together, the miles and the pay provide the opportunity for the highest earnings in the industry,” says Arves.
This freight, which will continue to increase throughout the month of June, is primarily drop and hook, clean freight. “We were awarded this business because of the service we provide.
