Crowder College Truck Driving program utilizes various techniques of instruction, including classroom training, electronic driver simulator training, driving experience on paved controlled driving and backing ranges, as well as highway and city driving. Crowder’s instructional programs are accredited by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Missouri Coordinating Board of Higher Education, and the North Central Association of Colleges and Universities.
In the four week Program students accumulate a minimum of 200 hours in classroom and driving time. In all, students spend 40 hours in the classroom, 160 hours on the driving range and on the road. Road and Range hours are divided between time observing and time behind the wheel. The Training Program will provide entry level knowledge and the necessary skills to operate a tractor and trailer safely, efficiently, and economically. Your training will consist of four weeks on campus followed by continued on the job training with the trucking company of your choice.
