Truck Driver FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much does the TruckFlix service cost?
A: There is no cost to the driver.

Q: Who will my application be sent to?
A: Your application will only be sent to companies that you select from a list of companies that you qualify for based on the info provided in your application.

Q: What if a company that I am interested in is not listed as a TruckFlix member?
A: The driver application submit page includes a "text box" that allows you to enter the Company name, location city and state, and telephone number (if known) of any desired company. We will do our very best to contact that company and forward your application.

Q: Why is a Log In and Password required?
A: Several reasons. A Log In / Password is used to ensure that your personal information is secure. A Log In / Password is also used to allow you to re-enter your application to edit / update information. You may also re-enter your application to make it active or inactive (example: if you have accepted a position and want your app. to be considered "inactive" until further notice).

Q: How often may I submit my application to a company?
A: Every seven (7) days. Re-submit by logging in and up-dating your application, and selecting one, or more, desired companies.

Q: If I lose my dial up connection, is all of the information that I have entered lost?
A: Initially completing the Log In / Password process prompts the system to save your application information. If your connection is lost, for any reason, the previously entered information will be saved. You may then log in and complete your application from where you were when you lost your connection.

Q: Why does it take so long to load the videos?
A: If you are on a dial up connection with at least a transfer rate of 33.6 kbps which is the average rate for a 56k modem, you can expect about a 3 minute wait to completely download a 1 mb video. Our videos will normally be compressed to just under 1 MB per minute of video for the dial up connections. Since we are streaming you will only have to ( buffer ) download a portion of the video to begin the stream. These times will vary a little due to internet traffic, your line condition and a lot of other factors. If you are on a DSL or Cable connection you should be able to view any video on this website within a few seconds.
