A trucker who unknowingly pushed a man in a wheelchair for four miles down a Michigan road will not be charged in relation to the incident.

According to the Kalamazoo Gazette, investigators determined the truck driver had a green light when he pulled out at an intersection in Paw Paw, MI. The wheelchair, which was in the driving lane was unseen by the trucker and got caught in the truck’s grille.

The trucker’s name has not been released, but he was driving for Ralph Moyle Trucking of Mattawan, MI.

Remarkably, the man in the wheelchair – 21-year-old Ben Carpenter – was not hurt. In fact, he was quoted as saying, “It was quite a ride.”
